Vlasta Knezović, a member of Gavella Drama Theatre's ensemble, is having the 35th anniversary of her work as an actress this year. After the Dubrovnik Summer Festival and the play ''Hamlet in the Village of Mrduša Donja'', in 1971 she performed for the first time on our stage, playing Anica in Pero Budak's ''Klupko'', which was directed by Dino Radojević. Since then she has starred in numerous Gavella productions, with each new role developing in front of the audience, proving to be an artist of great energy and talent. From von Horvath's ''Tales From the Vienna Forrest'' or Chekhov's ''Uncle Vanja'' and ''Ivanov'' through O'Casey, Gorkiy, Brešan, Shakespeare, Brecht, Kosor or Kaštelan to Goldoni, Kljaković and Krleža, who are still on our repertoire, Vlasta Knezović has left a mark, with her interpretations, in the productions she has starred in. Besides in Gavella, she performed in many other theatres, as well as at Dubrovnik Summer Festival and she has often been rewarded for her work: from the Debutant's award in ''Sterja's Theatre'', through the awards at the Gavella Evenings, to being the best actress at the festival in Vinkovci and the award for best Histrion, not to mention the Croatian Association of Drama Artists' award. Besides in the theatre, Vlasta Knezović has given some of her more significant performances in film and television, dramas and TV series, where we remember her mostly as Vrtirepka from ''Prosjaci i Sinovi'' (''Beggars and Sons''), Dorica from ''U registraturi'' (''In the Registry Office'') or Marijeta from ''Velo misto'' (''The Big City'').
